Spoke with a friend last night who works for a company I worked at briefly. They also adopted Shape-Up but follow the basecamp style closer. Pitch writers are a distinct group of people. Pitches come down the pipeline and are dictated the the product team. He said it’s a great process to breed indifference and disinterested teams. The pitch writers don’t seek much in they way of input from anyone but the founder (former developer/maintainer).
